Pat Kelly born in Kingston, Jamaica is a rocksteady and reggae singer with a falsetto voice. Pat Kelly who is strongly influence by America R&B he ruled the days of rocksteady. When Slim Smith departed from The Techniques Pat Kelly took over as the lead singer. While he was there with them they recorded “You Don’t Care”, “Queen Majesty”, “It’s You I Love”, among others. Pat Kelly went solo in 1969 releasing a string of hits just the same. In 1978 he co-produced John Holt’s album “The Impressible John Holt. Pat Kelly a real musician he made the transition from rocksteady to reggae successfully.
