Junior Reid born June 3 in Kingston Jamaica is a Jamaican reggae and dance hall singer/songwriter. Junior Reid rose to prominence during the early 1980s with songs like “One Blood”. However Junior Reid began his music career long before at a tender age of thirteen. Reid did lots of work with Sugar Minott in the early eighties with great success. Junior Reid was also a lead singer of the Black Uhuru reggae band after the departure of Michael Rose. However, it was only for a couple of years. After this short interlude he went on to set up is own label the “JR” where he produce his own stuff and also for others.
