Airways International  Jamaica started  operation between Kingston and Montego Bay filling the void that was left by Air Jamaica express. The need for Airways International is even more compounded now that Air Jamaica has cut many of its flight between local Jamaican airports and regional as well.  The airline now flies four round trips daily between Kingston and Montego Bay satisfying an average of 96 persons.
Traveling to Cayman Brac and Haiti’s capital Port a Prince has now become easier, faster and stress free. Getting to Haiti from Jamaica used to be an hassle as there were no direct flights although it is pretty close by. Before one would have to travel to the States or even do an overnight in Panama to get there. There was never a direct flight from Jamaica to Cayman Brac but all these are now in the past. Presently with Airways International Jamaica one can get to Cayman Brac directly as well as Haiti in less than two hours.
Many airlines have come and gone and more are yet to come, but one have to admit that the race is not for the swift but for who can endure it. Airways International has been around since 1969 expanding steadily while satisfying the customer’s need. From Kingston to Montego Bay, Haiti and Cayman and the future will see more expansion Airways International is the number one.
Airways International Jamaica is the only Jamaican airline and  a beacon in the country’s aviation. This Jamaican company was formed in 1969 and has been on the forefront of Jamaica’s aviation since. The cross-island courier service Airpak Express is also operated by  Airways International.
